November Planner Challenge!

It has been MONTHS since I last posted, but life got busy for me with work, swaps, and even vacation. I am now the proud owner of 7 planners. :-D Here's the info on the challenge that I am doing right now for this month. I am hoping to finish all the days and stick with it!

Day 1: Planner stack...Top to bottom, left to right: Black Finsbury Personal, Black Kate Spade Wellesley, Malden Ochre Personal, Malden Ochre A5, Plum Paper Planner, Heidi Swapp Planners...

Day 2: Storage...I bought this tackle box from The Container Store so I could lug my planner supplies around the house.

Day 3: Dashboard...From Erin Condren. In remembrance of Paris.

Day 4: Sticky Notes...Gotta love them! I bought some Little B stickies when they were on sale, and shopped around some more. Paperchase has the most beautiful of sticky notes...gotta have them too! While shopping at Ikea and Marshalls, I saw some more pretties. :-D

Day 5: Quotable. I love Erin Condren covers!

Day 6: Gold. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Day 7: Cards. These are some samples from Close To My Heart's White Pines collection. You will see them more when I do my December Reset Girl list. They are vertical on one side and horizontal on the other. I love them all!

Watch out for my post on the remaining days of this challenge! Thanks for visiting!

My Aqua and Light Pink Craft Room/Office

Hubby had the most brilliant idea the other day, one that I had been suggesting to him all these years; to turn our guest room into my crafting space. He was wonderful enough to build my Kallax unit from Ikea, and call Scrapbook.com to order my paper organizer while I was sleeping. He also painted and built my beadboard. I now have an amazing place where my favorite colors can exist together.

Let me take you for a tour...

I hung my mulberry flowers, Prima stamps and Tim Holtz embellishments on the beadboard. To keep it from looking like a store display, I added some of my favorite items on some of the hooks, like the gigantic paperclips and the aqua-colored butterfly that I got from an online swap. I keep my embellishments, lace, Tim Holtz dies, embossing folders, and shimmer sprays in a black dresser from Ashley furniture.

More teal and shades of peacock blue from my table runner and Steampunk hat...

Respect the Raskog cart! It houses more mulberry flowers and some art supplies and pens on top.

Here's my Chinoiserie-style piano desk in black lacquer and mother-of-pearl...Above it is a print that ties all the colors in the room quite nicely.

I keep my Cricut cartridges in an armoire from Overstock.com. I placed some 3D papercrafts inside it because they make me smile.

My Kallax cubes from Ikea hold my paper packs, loose paper, some of my stamps and paper punches. The decorative boxes contain my embellishments and more stamps. I have several plastic bins in the closet, but they are kept out of sight.

This is where I plan my day, and dream...

This room is like a love letter from hubby. He knows that this is something that will make me happy, and he made it happen.

Reset Girl's Lister's Gotta List--My Lists from June 15-24

Yes, I am feeling productive here. Don't look too closely at some entries in my lists because they are silly. I like being silly when I'm not working. :-D

So, what's on your list?

Reset Girls' Lister's Gotta List, June 10-14

I try to finish my lists in advance because of work. I made my own oranges using my Spellbinder's dies and a Cuttlebug embossing folder. :-) I notice that I sure use a lot of washi in my pages. Here are my lists. Enjoy!

Ariel, The Pocket Letter

I have been making some Disney Princess pocket letters, and I draw and color everything by hand, so it actually is time-consuming. Hubby once commented that I seem to be working too hard to have some fun. lol!
I used everything K&CO for the background. My Pocket Letter Pals plan to frame Ariel, so I still wanted to make a nice background so the pocket letter won't look too empty when they take her out. I also added some metallic ink to make her hair shimmer.

So here goes the beautiful Ariel in her multiple backgrounds...

Lister's Gotta List...The First Nine Days Of June

I have been too busy making pocket letters to prettify my planner, but I got motivated to do the Reset Girl's Challenge. I had a lot of fun playing with my Crush Book (Close To My Heart's Smash Book), and making informal collages of my lists. So here, it goes, my first Crush entries...

I intentionally left some spaces for June the 3rd so I could fill the page up with pictures of me as a kid. The paper with the lemon print is actually a folder for guess what? More pictures, of course!

I think I found a new addiction.

An Affordable Insert For My Malden

I thought I found planner peace when I put my Papertrey Ink planner inside my A5 Malden...NOT. After a couple of months, I discovered that while having a daily entry is a wonderful idea, it does not work for me. I was happier with a monthly and weekly view. I also decided that I want to start journaling, and will just put asterisks on the days when I make a journal entry in my monthly view. I don't want to feel like I am obliged to journal everyday either. In some days, I just sleep to recover from a grueling work day. It would seem like I did practically nothing while I slept, but in reality, rest is an essential for my being effective and efficient in living and enjoying my life.

I saw these cuties while out shopping for car batteries with hubby at WalMart. The planner is mid-year with a July start and costs only around $5.00, while the address book was around $7.00. I decided to get them both, after all, if I was willing to spend $40 on a PTI planner that I was unsatisfied with, then why not spend a few bucks on a cheaper planner that could possibly give me peace?

The lack of planner peace kept me away from my beautiful PTI/Malden planner and focus, among other things, on pocket letters, but those will be entries for another day.

Here's my Wal-Mart find, giving my Malden a trendy look.

I added some Heidi Swapp Project Life cards and Love embellishment
, a Heidi Swapp circles sticker, a sticky notepad from Recollections, my Target pen, my Pilot Hi-Tech Maica fine gel pen, a homemade large flower paper clip, and some Betsey Johnson clothespins, and voila! My Malden turned into something I would love showing off again. :-D I was quite happy that the address book coordinated well with my Betsey Johnson cosmetic bag.

Who would have ever guessed that a $5 Wal-Mart find could make my heart skip a beat?
